TEACHING

The course includes; Introduction to circuit components, Energy levels and energy bands, Semiconductors, Conduction in semiconductors, Semiconductor diode, Applications of semiconductor diode, Specialized diodes, BJT Transistors, Polarisation of BJT Transistors, Applications of BJT Transistors, Field Effect Transistors (FET), Polarisation of FET Transistors, Applications of FET Transistors, Introduction to Operational amplifiers.

General look towards experimental physics and experiment design concepts; analysis of experimental data and error, various types of data (optical, acoustic, electrical, etc.) and methods of gathering data, sensors and detectors, noise, sources of noise and methods for noise reduction, grounding, computer systems for gathering data.
